====== Sharing with friends ======

You can share a **private trip** with friends, your partner or family. All fellow travellers see the same plan and can help plan: activities, expenses, checklist.

===== The ShareCode =====

Every account has a personal **ShareCode** – 6 characters, e.g. ''K7M2QP'' (without easily confused characters like 0/O or 1/I). It identifies **you**, not a trip. Find it in your profile under **My ShareCode** as text and QR code; you can renew it.

===== Inviting someone =====

  - Open the trip → **Share trip**.
  - **“Invite traveler via ShareCode”** – enter your fellow traveller's ShareCode or **scan their QR code**.
  - The person is shown; optionally add a message and **send the invitation**.
  - They receive a notification and find the invitation under **Invitations** (envelope icon on the home screen). After **Accept**, the trip appears for them.

Open invitations are listed in “Share trip” with their remaining validity (7 days) and can be withdrawn.

**Requirement:** sharing private trips is a Premium feature – for **both sides**. That works via subscription, by buying the trip as a **Premium trip** (then valid for all fellow travellers) or, for invitees, via the low-cost **unlock of a shared trip**. → [[en:premium|Free & Premium]]

===== Saved groups =====

If you often travel with the same people (family, hiking group, regulars), create a **group**: in “Share trip” → **“Add group”** invites all members at once. Groups are managed there too; new members join via ShareCode or group code. Joining a group alone doesn't add anyone to a trip automatically.

===== Locking a trip =====

As the owner you can **lock** the trip: fellow travellers can then no longer edit anything (e.g. shortly before departure when everything is set). You can unlock it any time.

===== Managing members and leaving =====

  * As **owner** you see all members and can remove them.
  * As **member** you can **leave** the trip; it remains for the others. The owner is notified.
  * If the owner deletes the trip, it disappears for everyone.

===== What fellow travellers see =====

Everything: itinerary, documents, expenses (including settlement), checklist and everyone's personal booking details (seat, room).

  * **Calendar export** of the trip.
  * **PDF lists** (group trips).
